What's Good for Groundhogs is Good for America

One of my clients has been approached to advertise on the San Francisco radio station that is carrying the progressive talk radio line-up, Air America.  "Talk Radio from the Left" is their tag line, and it's been live and blogged about elsewhere since last fall.

Ignoring the business judgments involved, supporting another viewpoint on the radio has a definite emotional appeal! 

From an email today:

The other day was Groundhog Day and the State of the Union Address. As Air America Radio pointed out, it is an ironic juxtaposition: "one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication and the other involves a groundhog."

I disagree that the President has little intelligence: look at how successful he is at moving the politcal dialog to the far right. But, it's still a satisfying zinger.
